I see they're putting all that toe pinching money to good use. I mean, hey, pro pentagonal crustacean propaganda doesn't pay for itself. That's not to say that I'm anti crustacean or even anti pentagons. I can get down with shapes, and some warmongering, from time to time. But I just can't approve of how they make their money. I've seen firsthand... First toe... So many long walks on the beach sabotaged. Made inconvenient. And for what? To make videos to encourage people to go to the beach so then they can pinch their toes for profit. That's right. I'm no fool. I can see what this is! But hey, it's not like I can do anything about it. In the eyes of Big Crab™, I'm just another set of toes...

Once upon a time, I said that I was looking forward to whatever it is that you were going to make. I can see now that my optimism was woefully misplaced...

Yeah, this is all right. A solid decent (or a decent solid depending on your point of view). If there's one area where I have to give credit, it's what you wound up doing with the sound effects. You see, I've heard those same sound effects a half a million times by this point, but I don't think I've ever seen anybody take the twist that you did. So good job subverting my expectations like that.

Also, as I write this, I am in physical pain, and for a brief instant, this helped me forget about that. So thanks.

Don't worry, dude! They give you hand sanitizer! That fixes everything, right? So what the last customer hacked up a lung and left some juicy flakes sprinkled everywhere? All you need is some hand sanitizer and a can do attitude! What's that? The hand san ran out ten customers ago? Woah now! That doesn't sound like the tenacious spirit of an essential employee to me. You just keep that chin up, a smile on your face and everything will work out fine! I'm sure.

That was pretty enjoyable. But you might want to work on your sound mixing, as it was hard to make out what some characters were saying during some scenes. In particular, the scene right before they head home.

Feels like I stumbled into an event in some obscure RPG Maker game. It caught me off-guard. I like it.

I'll start off by saying this, I don't know much about the series in question, as it's been a long time since I've read any manga or watched any anime, but the way that you're talkin about it tells me that I don't need to. I've seen this same discussion a million times before and it will happen a million times more. There's nothing wrong with wanting something, in this case a community, to be better than what it is, but I honestly believe that it's just not possible for the simple reason that I don't think that it can be anything more than it already is. The people you're complaining about have been here much longer than you or I. As a result, this medium has been built to pander toward them. And I don't see them going anywhere anytime soon. Bearing that in mind, the average person just simply wants to consume media without ever really thinking about it. Hell, some people don't even consume the media and just want to be a part of a fandom. You see this whenever something gets too popular or mainstream. Seems to be the fate of all cool ass things that get too many eyes on it. Which is why it's strange to me that you want this medium to become more mainstream seeing as your problem is the direct result of it becoming more popular.

Don't get me wrong, I know you're probably just venting, but it sounds like you just want people to enjoy something the same way you would enjoy it, which is simply asking way too much.

Either way, I've rambled on long enough.

I appreciate the rambling, seriously.
Yeah, anime hasn't really changed, and the fandom ended up this way precisely because its getting more popular.
It's just sad; I know I can't (And probably shouldn't) get people to consume something the way I do, but just standing by and watching didn't sit right with me either.
I think this whole video was me wanting to make sure the changes didn't go unnoticed.
