No more hurt. All that remains is emptiness. Emptiness and dreams.

After a wound so fresh, too.

If you must hurt us, please, I beg of you, see it through. Finish the job. You know what you must do.

Why must people who hurt bring that hurt to others? Why must you do this to us?

SnippyJammin responds:

I accidentally bought the party sized pain instead of the fun sized pain.

This reminds me of the time I gave myself food poisoning, put on a weighted vest (about 40 lbs.), and decided to mow the lawn. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

Why

Dude, don't even talk to me about haircuts. I've got three different hair types. You don't even know...

Yo, I like that idea too. But instead of making them enemies, I would make them the protagonists. Aside from an interesting world aesthetic and undoubtedly stupid puns that would come of such a decision, I personally would like it that way purely because I would find it amusing that recovery items would be things like mineral water and fertilizer. You know, things plants like. They could also have deep, meaningful conversations about whether or not they're the pot or the plant. Maybe go on some sort of deep spiritual journey in an effort to understand it all, I don't know...

That's just my two cents on your idea.

It's been awhile, and from what I can see, that time has been put to good use. Your art has definitely gone up in quality since the last time I saw it.

I have no major critique this time. I just wanted to let you know you did a good job.

Amazing job!

I especially like how you did some of the outlines. I'm genuinely impressed with how they look. Making them look textured was a fantastic idea. I just wish you had done it for all the outlines. Also, love them goofy looking koi fish fellas (they're my new sons). There are also a few little things that irk me, but they're just minor nitpicks not worth bringing up.

Again, amazing work!

Azpher-Omega responds:

Thank you!! I'm not sure what you mean by textured outlines, you mean just how the light source is kind of making them disappear sometimes? The differences in thickness perhaps?
I'm so, so happy with all of these fish designs, they are so cute and terrifying!!
You can nitpick if you want within reason haha, I was staring at it for ages before scheduling the post until I determined I couldn't think of how else to improve it, heh.

This fella looks pretty rad. I especially dig the fragmented floating crown he's got. Not too wild about the shading, though. It's not atrocious or anything. I just think you could have gone with some better color choices for it. Then again, I'd take anything I'm saying with a grain of salt, especially if you've seen anything I've done recently. I'm still trying to figure out what ancient god I need to offer sacrifice to so that I may obtain good color choices. Maybe I should just swallow my pride and look for a pre-selected color palette. But I'm not sure how well that would teach me to do it on my own. Anyways, you're pretty talented. I'm sure in time you'll undoubtedly improve.

As for that whole, making a world comment. If you ever do decide to make your own world, I'd love to see or hear about it. I always love hearing about the world's people make in their minds. Making a world is one of the more interesting things someone can do with their imagination. I myself have made a few worlds in my time. Wasn't until a few years back I made one that I finally liked. One day, when I'm good enough, I'll bring it to life.

As for you not uploading for a while, I'll tell you the same thing I would tell anyone else. Don't stress yourself out too much. Sometimes other things in life just take priority. But I also understand that it's a constant struggle to stay relevant. You got to find your own pace and then improve it from there. I'm sure you'll figure it out.

You go through all that trouble to make this rat look nice and fancy only for it to scoot its butt along the ground... I'm reminded every day that the majesty of nature does not actually exist.

In all seriousness, this looks kind of cute. But you maybe should have gone with a colored background or something that would have made that second ear visible. I had a hunch it existed.
